Pouches and bags

Paper chevron pouches

We supply paper chevron pouches with medical-grade paper on one side and PET/PE film on the other. The paper prints well and usually costs less than Tyvek®, making these pouches a practical choice for devices without sharp features. They suit EtO, and gamma depending on the paper grade. Steam needs a steam paper grade and a steam-rated film, available on request. Sourced from qualified manufacturers in North America and Europe.

What it's for

What it does in your package

A paper chevron pouch works like a Tyvek® chevron pouch. The V-shaped seal starts a controlled peel, the paper side lets sterilant in, and the film side lets you see the device.

Paper is the economical porous side. It takes print well, so labels and markings stay easy to read. It is a practical choice for procedure-kit components and general devices.

The paper grade and the film together decide the sterilization method. Tell us whether you run EtO, steam, or gamma and we will match the construction. Then validate the pouch in your own cycle.

Typical applications include

  • Procedure-kit components
  • General medical devices
  • Devices without sharp features
  • Steam-sterilized items, with a steam-rated film

FAQ

Common questions

All FAQs

When should I choose a paper pouch?

Paper chevron pouches print well and usually cost less than Tyvek® pouches. Typical applications include procedure-kit components and general devices. For heavy, sharp or particle-sensitive devices, compare them with our Tyvek® chevron pouches.

How is the pouch made up?

One side is medical-grade paper and the other is PET/PE film. The paper is porous, so sterilant gas can pass through it. The film lets you see the device. The chevron seal gives a controlled peel from the point.

Which sterilization methods can I use?

Paper chevron pouches are compatible with EtO. Gamma depends on the paper grade. Steam needs a steam-rated film as well as a steam paper grade; a steam-rated PET/PP film is available on request, so tell us your method when you ask. E-beam is not yet confirmed, so ask us. Compatibility depends on grade, coating, and your process. Validate in your own sterilization cycle.

Can I get custom sizes or printing?

Yes. Custom sizes, printing and seal options are available, quoted per project. Paper chevron pouches are sourced from qualified manufacturers in North America and Europe and supplied by CleanCut. We confirm each manufacturer's certification (standard, registrar and expiry) in writing as part of your supplier qualification. Each lot ships with our certificate of conformance, which records the manufacturer's lot number.

Can I get samples?

Request samples on the quote form. Give us the inside dimensions, your device, your sterilization method and any print you need. We will come back with questions and a sample plan.
